10/2 Dryad 100% Tencel - Bllueberry

This listing is for one 4 ounce skein, 1,090 yards skein of high quality hand painted mahogany 10/2 tencel. Dryad 100% Tencel is very shiny, super smooth, light, and hand painted yarn made from wood pulp cellulose. This man-made, vegan, and environmentally  friendly fiber is a fantastic alternative to wool, for knitting, crocheting, or weaving.

Since these items are professionally hand-painted/dyed there is a little color variation from batch to batch. I hand paint six skeins of tencel per batch, and try to match the colors in the photo as much as possible.

 On average considerably more water is used when washing mx dyes out of tencel and bamboo yarn, than for non fiber reactive dyes. However I have figured out how to use considerably less water to rinse/wash the mx dye out of tencel and bamboo yarn, while removing all or most of the excess dye. All of the yarn I dye is washed in hot water that is at least 140 degree Fahrenheit, the temperature required to adequately remove fiber reactive dyes from cellulose fibers. Unfortunately some colors may still bleed a little dye in warm or hot water.  Black, turquoise, and red dyes are prone to bleeding, but there should not be enough dye to stain your hands, or alter the overall color of the yarn.
